of the Dungeon of Doom, what ever you know him as Kevin Sullivan is
undoubtedly a wrestling legend. With over 30 years in the ring Kevin
Sullivan has made an impact in every territory, federation, and country he
ever competed in.
Debuting in Montreal in 1971, Sullivan would go on the be one of the most
popular fan favorites in the nation for more than 10 years. It was in 1982
when Kevin Sullivan morphed into one of the most maniacal and
controversial wrestler's in the history of the business.
While wrestling
in Florida Championship Wrestling he turned on his partner Mike Graham and
creating the Army of Darkness. Along with his cohorts, "Maniac" Mark
Lewin, Mike Davis, Jake Roberts, Superstar Billy Graham, Buzz Sawyer, and
Maha Singh, Kevin Sullivan reeked havoc on the world of professional
wrestling. With cryptic rambling interviews Sullivan expressed his worship
of the entities known as "Abudadein" and the "Lady of the Third Eye".
In 1987 Kevin Sullivan left Florida for the National Wrestling Alliance in
Georgia. It was there that he formed the Varsity Club with Mike Rotunda,
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Rick Steiner. By 1989 the Varsity Club had
disbanded and the Slaughterhouse was formed with Sullivan leading Cactus
Jack and Buzz Sawyer.
In 1992 Kevin left NWA and spent some time in Smokey
Mountain Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling (Eastern
Championship Wrestling at the time). In 1994 Kevin returned to NWA
(now World Championship Wrestling). He would remain there until the company's demise in 2001.
While in WCW he was the leader of The Faces of Fear and The Dungeon Of
Doom who's members included Ed Leslie (aka Brutus Beefcake),
Avalanche (aka Earthquake), Kamala, The
Barbarian, Meng, Manager Jimmy Hart, Shark, Zodiac, Yeti, Hugh Morrus, and
One Man Gang. He feuded with the likes of Hulk Hogan and Chris Benoit.
In 1996 Kevin Sullivan became the booker (match maker) of WCW. He was the
mind behind some of the most famous storylines in the history of the
industry. Since his full time retirement in 2000, Kevin Sullivan has opened a gym,
Froggy's Fitness, in the Florida Keys. He is also prominently featured in
